We had our last lunch in Japan here, the sushi was fresh and devine. Great atmosphere with locals. We had the chefs sushi platter, the sashimi platter, and individual sushis. It was to die for. You have to go up on the 4th floor with the elevator or stairs. They had an English menu, chef spoke some English as well. Highly recommend it. We would definitely come back! Thank you
Went solo for a quick lunch while shopping in Ginza. My friend recommended this place to me and it was perfect for lunchtime sushi. I ordered the lunchtime set. It was a very reasonable price and the sushi quality was very good. I will return again!
Stopped by for lunch after shopping in Ginza. This was my first sushi meal in Japan and it did not disappoint! Fish quality was superb and the rice was perfect.
Thankfully I was brought here by an experienced sushi eater, one that has been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and for her to tell me that it’s as good now as it was back then means that it’s more than legit! Especially being seated at the counter, it’s an amazing show of how much pride these sushi masters have in their craft. A simple thing like scooping the appropriate amount of sushi rice and shaping it was beautiful. But what made this place stand out was this special roll that they have, it’s sort of a secret menu item and you would only know if you’ve been a loyal customer. It’s the salmon skin roll, completely balanced and perfect in it’s own way but unique enough to leave you wide eyed and wanting more. To be frank, it’s one of the best rolls I’ve had in my life and all the food that gets placed in front of you WILL be of the best quality and taste ever!
Tsukiji sushisei - Ginza 4 Chome One of those unexpected moments that turned out great cuz we took a chance We were looking for a place to eat after shopping when we walked past this building. Very nondescript against all the bright and shiny luxury shops. But we first saw the ad on what we were familiar with - Hoshino Coffee. But when we stopped, we saw the banner for sushi on level 4. And that’s when we decided to have sushi instead. Great decision. Take the spiral staircase or the lift. We lift. When the wooden grill pulley gate will give you a hint of how Japanese this place is and we were excited. When u enter, they offer to take your coat. And proceed to seat you very quickly. I like that they were attentive to give us the English menu and swiftly explained to us their sets etc. We settled for -a set menu of chefs choice of seasonal sushi -salmon plate -salmon skin roll sushi Food is really great and fresh This comes through especially more so in all the raw cuts Tuna salmon etc Also fulfilled my wish of watching a chef up close doing my sushi for me with his hands But what was interesting was an instructional menu that suggested dipping their pickled ginger into their soy sauce as well. New to us. But u can try and let me know if you like it. Space is nice and wide and bright with wooden accents but as per practice they seat you next to each other really closely and expect to brush arms with animated guests who gesticulate.
Visited this during weekday evening, ordered the chef recommended set, 7000 yen. Was thinking to order the omakase set, but after seeing this big thumbs up near the menu, go with this set. The 11 pieces all quite good, juicy and fresh, and all these sushi taste different, which is interesting experience. The chefs are talking to other diners in Japanese to explain the dishes, unluckily I didn’t understand. For this set, you can choose to all come at once or one by one, maybe one by one is better? So you can follow the chef’s order to take these sushi.
All fresh fish and clam, reasonable price considering it is in Ginza. English menu and the staff was very kind and helpful. There are two seat type, traditional one at counter bar where you can talk with chef directly and get some recommendation of ingredient of the day, while i were select the table due to accompany with my little kid. Not only sushi and sashimi, but there are other food dish from fresh fish, clam, vegetable, and other ingredient that you can ask from the staff. Love this resturant and will definitely come back as one of my favourite place since 2015 (even they change location haha).
